Thanks for the great comment on Woodland Birds Sampler! I have two more "in works" - Water Birds (ducks, herons, peeps, etc) and Killer Birds (raptors, eagles, accitpers, etc). The former could be done kinda soonish, I have lots of data for them, the later....need lots more Killer Birds!!! (But I may give up and have LOTS of repeats!!)
Glad you enjoyed them, some weren't "nice" enough for solo display, but worked well in the collage.

Thanks for the great comment on Mating Outfit! I've been trying to get that species in mating colors for several seasons, took two trips this year to get a decent shot, too! Glad you enjoyed him!

This is a must see!
More GREAT comments - more heartfelt thanks!!! Hmmm, digiscoping - I got my setup from [link] in New York City (yes, mail order - but I knew what I was after and they had a very good price and IN STOCK!). There's lots of information on the web, just search "digiscoping".
It's very popular among birders (who many already have scopes...)

Thanks for the great comments on my latest digiscoped shots. While I really like the technique, the results aren't always as good as I'd like. Graininess and a complete lack of flexibilty are enourmous drawbacks - I'm a fan of the concept, but not always....

I appreciate it.

Glad to be of assistance! Thanks for the comment on Tree Top Nesting and yes, it was 'scoped. Some days it works better than others, that shot worked! Here is my 2nd digiscoping setup, the first was only a test to see if it worked, it did, but not well. [link] The Celestron was clumsy and rather large and had issues with viginetting, but I learned on it and graduated to the Nikon setup, no viginetting, what a great advantage, plus the Nikon is 8 MP, much nicer than the 5MP of the Sony. (I still have the other setup, but don't use it).
More questions? E-mail me, I'm always willing to share.

Thanks for the wonderful comments!
Digiscoping - Poor man's high power lens - the idea is to use a non-DSLR type camera (Nikon's Coolpix line is the most popular for this technique) and using a mounting bracket, join the camera to a spotting scope (hence the name digiscoping). The technique is NOT fast, as in using a Digital SLR camera with a HUGE lens, but the cost difference is the 10x magnitude. The Olympus lens I would die to have costs about $8000 (last I had the heart to look) and my Nikon Spotting scope cost about $800 (Want to buy LOTS of my pictures?) Even so, that Olympus lens would not have the power that my digiscoping setup has, even if it is terribly slow.
I use the Nikon Digiscope Pro setup, bought as a unit from a Nikon dealer. Nikon's web site has a very good write up on the subject. My gallery has a number of digiscoped shots (if it looks too close to be "real", it was digiscoped.... like my Moon shots....) Good luck!
